On Worldpedigrees we have two types of databases:
Please note you need to be a Pro user to make changes - cost is US$20 per year or US$30 for three years.
We are also happy to host new databases where we believe they will provide a valuable service to the pedigree community - we don't charge for this but we are able to hopefully cover our costs via Pro users registration fees.
So how does it all work? The following sections describe how the Pro user could add/edit/delete and also how the convenor approves/rejects/bans.
From the home page click on the relevant breed (it must have *Open* next to it), e.g the Siberian Husky as shown below:
The search page for that database will appear as shown below, then click on [ADD NEW ENTRY]
The Add new entry page will appear as shown below. We recommend that before entering any other fields, first try and enter the sire and dam. A record for the sire and dam must exist before they can be selected
The main task for convenors is to download any additions from the online database stored at Worldpedigrees into their desktop PCs Breedmate database. Any additions downloaded are marked in red and include the email address of the person submitting the addition. The record can be reviewed if necessary the convenor can email the submitter if there are any queries.
